Le Quatrième mur - Nahel est en quelque sorte une suite de la série Le Quatrième mur.
Au théâtre, le quatrième mur est la séparation imaginaire entre la scène et le public. L’expression « briser le quatrième mur » désigne pour les comédiens le fait de s’adresser directement aux spectateurs. Ces photographies documentent l’instant précis où les personnes que je photographie se rendent compte de ma présence et où leur regard croise le mien à travers mon objectif.
Ces huit photographies ont été réalisées à Marseille, lors des trois nuits de manifestations, d'émeutes, de pillages et de répression consécutives à la mort de Nahel Merzouk.

The Fourth Wall - Nahel is in a way a continuation of the series The Fourth Wall.
In theatre, the fourth wall is the imaginary separation between the stage and the public. The expression “breaking the fourth wall” designates for the actors the fact of addressing the spectators directly. These photographs document the precise moment when the people I photograph become aware of my presence and when their gaze meets mine through my lens.
These eight photographs were taken in Marseille, during the three nights of demonstrations, riots, looting and repression following the death of Nahel Merzouk.
